The Town incurs a cost of each white good item picked up curbside by our contractor, Waste Management. The cost is contractually based, applies whether or not the item contains refrigerant, and is subject to annual adjustment. To cover this cost, there is a fee of $16 for each such item to be picked up.
Yard Waste Collection
There will be 4 collections per year, twice in spring and twice in fall (see calendar). Yard waste will be collected the same day as the trash is scheduled for the week. Yard waste is defined as grass clippings, leaves and tree/shrub trimmings. Branches cannot be over 3 ft and must be tied in twine. Residents are reminded that all yard waste put out to curbside must be in biodegradable/compost bags, i.e., brown paper grocery bags or you may use your trash barrel.
