Welcome to the Town of Marshfield's Official Website. Our goal is to maintain a website that offers value to our residents by providing useful information and services that will make town government more accessible to residents. We will endeavor to keep the content fresh and up to date, adding new information and services to you in the coming months. The Town of Marshfield has much to offer residents and visitors, and we hope to use this site to make people aware of everything we have to offer. From its rich history, as the home of Daniel Webster, to its natural resources, which include our beaches and vast preserves of open space, Marshfield has something for everyone.

The revitalization of our downtown area has begun with the recent opening of a new supermarket, which will be followed by many other new and expanded businesses in the coming months. This fall we are celebrating the opening of our new Senior Center at 230 Webster Street. The Center opened for business on October 14th, and will be a tremendous asset to our seniors and the rest of the community for many years to come. Our new skatepark also opens this fall (November 11, 2003) and the Skatepark Committee has done an incredible job in building a remarkable recreational facility that has enhanced the vitality and appearance of the entire area. We recently marked the opening of seven new irrigated athletic fields in the High School complex, benefiting our high school and youth athletic programs. Also this fall, we are looking forward to the opening of the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club in Library Plaza. This group has done an incredible job to raise the funds necessary to renovate the facility and staff the new operation.

Residents and visitors interested in the operation of Town government will find a great deal of useful information on our website. We are proud of the services that we offer to citizens, and have worked diligently to manage our financial resources so that we can maintain those vital services. We have an open town meeting form of government, which allows all registered voters to participate in the process of governing our community. We also have openings for volunteers to join the many boards and committees that help Marshfield town government work.
