Please join us for an interactive workshop with Marshfield residents, Town staff, and elected officials.

 

As a follow up to the Please join us for an interactive workshop with Marshfield residents, Town staff, and elected officials. recent economic development meetings with MAPC , the Planning Department will hold additional meetings focusing specifically on three areas of Town.  This meeting will be for the Downtown area, Industrial area and Business District West of Furnace Street area.  The Planning Department is seeking input to help develop recommendations for the Planning Board to consider adding to the update of the Economic Development Section of the Town’s Master Plan.

This meeting will be focused on the B-1 District, Industrial District, Planned Mixed Use Overlay District and B-2 District (west of Furnace Street) areas of Town.  Topics to be discussed include:

  • Possible changes to the boundary of the B-1 District
  • Review of Uses allowed in B-1  
  • Possible changes to Affordable Village area on Commerce Way
  • Possibility of allowing certain commercial uses in the Industrial District  
  • Possibility of allowing higher density housing in the B-2 District from Furnace St. to the Pembroke line to comply with the requirements for MBTA communities
