Proposed Flood Zone Building Code and Wetlands Regulations Changes

Both the MassDEP and the Board of Building Regulations and Standards are currently proposing amendments to 310 CMR 10.00 (The MA Wetlands Protection Act Regulations) and 780 CMR (The Massachusetts State Building Code) and several significant changes are proposed to the regulations regarding Flood Zone Construction and Development.

Please visit 310 CMR 10.00: Wetlands Protection Act Regulations | Mass.gov to view the proposed amendments to the Wetlands Proteaction Act Regulations and provide public comment.  Mass DEP has extended the public comment period from March 1 to April 30, 2024 and will hold a series of informal "office hours" sessions for question and anser periods.  The public is encouraged to provide written comments to MassDEP by email to dep.wetlands@mass.gov
