Delayed ACH Transactions Notice from Heartland Payment Systems

Merchant Notification

Good afternoon,

On April 15, 2023, Heartland Payment Systems, LLC experienced transmission issues while submitting an ACH file to our Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI), which caused a subset of transactions to be excluded from the ACH files that were submitted on those dates. As a result, these consumer debits were not processed and will need to be resubmitted.

Per NACHA Rules, you, the Merchant (as the originator of the files), are required to give consumers written notice of the intent to resubmit all affected transactions seven (7) calendar days before the effective date of the new transaction. Attached, you will find a list of transactions that were impacted.  The new effective date for processing these items is May 3, 2023. Therefore, by no later than the close of business May 1, 2023, you must notify your customers that their payment has been delayed and will be processed on May 3, 2023. When sending this notification, please include the following individual payment related information:

  • Original Payment Date: April 15, 2023
  • New Payment Date: May 3, 2023
  • Transaction Amounts: Varies, see attached list

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any additional questions related to this notice, please reach out to our Product Operations team at: Product Operations.
