Town of Marshfield to Host a Holiday Blood Drive

The Town of Marshfield will be sponsoring a blood drive in partnership with The Kraft Family Bloodmobile, Dana Farber, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital on December 29, 2022 from 10:00am until 4:30pm. As of today, all appointments are currently filled. However, there will be availability for walk-in appointments. Hospitals are in critical need of blood, especially blood types O negative and O positive.

The drive will take place at the Town of Marshfield Vaccination Clinic, located at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, 140 Main Street, Gate A entrance.

Anyone coming to donate blood on December 29th is able to get their COVID-19 booster, a flu vaccine, or both. We have both bivalent COVID-19 vaccines and Flu vaccine for ages 5 and older, including the high dose version for those over the age of 65. There is no wait period between receiving your COVID or Flu vaccine and donating blood.

Everyone who completes a blood donation will receive a $10 gas gift certificate. If anyone has any questions - please contact Teresa Flynn, Public Health Nurse, at 781-834-5565.

The Town of Marshfield’s Drive-Thru Clinic at the Marshfield Fairgrounds continues to provide COVID and Flu vaccines on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00am until 3:00pm. The clinic will be closed on Saturday, December 24th and Saturday, December 31st so that our staff can be with their families. The last day of the Drive-Thru Clinic at the Fairgrounds will be Saturday, January 14, 2023.
